Ellisville, Miss. – A goal early in the contest, proved to the difference as the Indians dropped a hard fought 1-0 decision to No. 6 Jones Friday night.
After the start time was pushed back due to a storm, the Indians and Bobcats went toe-to-toe.
The game's only goal was scored off a rebound on a free kick at the 7th minute. Down 1-0, sophomore keeper Corbin Martin (Amory) made seven saves to keep the game within reach. However, the Indians were not able to fine a rhythm offensively and had two shots in the game.
Next up for the Indians (1-1) is another ranked opponent as the No. 8 Mississippi Gulf Coast Bulldogs come to Fulton Friday. Kickoff is scheduled for 2:00 p.m.
