Fulton, Miss. – The Indians battled through a sluggish performance Friday to defeat East Central 1-0 and remain unbeaten this season.
At halftime, the Indians (5-0, 3-0 MACJC North) and East Central were scoreless, but at the 58th minute, Carson O'Daniel (Tupelo) beat the keeper off an assist from Irvin Rodriguez (Pelham, Ala.).
Alex Box (Amory) completed the shutout to secure the 1-0 victory and to remain the only team in the conference without a loss or a tie.
The Indians will hit the road Tuesday for a North Division game against Northwest, schedule for 3 p.m. in Senatobia.
