ELLISVILLE - The ICC men's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Jones County Junior College on Wednesday.
In a rematch from last season's MACJC semifinals, both teams battled to a scoreless first half.
The Bobcats got on the board at the 65th minute when the Indians failed to successfully clear the ball. A few minutes later, Jones County sealed the match when they countered off an ICC corner kick to take a 2-0 lead.
"Going on the road is tough in this league and our freshman found that out today," said Coach Mike Sullivan. "Jones made it tough on us and we didn't respond when we needed to, but we will learn from this and bounce back."
ICC (1-1-0) will look to bounce back on Tuesday when they open division play against rival Hinds Community College.
The Lady Indians will open the day at 2:00 p.m. with the Indians' match scheduled to start at 4:00 p.m. The matches will be available at LetsGoICCTV.com.
