McComb, Miss. – The Itawamba Community College golf team finished the Southwest Invitational tied for fifth place a team-total of 650 (+74).
The Indians came into the final round in sixth place but moved up one spot and tied with Pearl River.
Landry Miller (Florence, Ala.) finished 19th in the tournament with a two day total of 155 (+11) after shooting a 78 on day one and a 77 on day two.
Ross Reeder (Tupelo)shot a two day total of 159 (+15) to finished in a four way tie for 21st as he shot a 78 on day one and an 81 on day two.
Trace Connier (Vancleave) finished in 38th with a 168 (+15) as he shot an 81 on day one and an 87 on day two.
Hayden McCostlin (Bruce) and Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) finished in a three way tie for 40th with a 171 (+27). McCostlin shot an 85 in the opening round and an 86 on day two while Gullet shot 87, 82.
Jack Herring (Saltillo), who played as an individual finished 53rd with a 181 (+37), shooting 91 on day one and 90 on day two.
Meridian jumped two spot from day one to day two, picking up the win with a team-total of 588 (+12).
The Indians next tournament is scheduled for March 6-7 at Dancing Rabbit Gofl Club for the East Central Invitational.
