AMORY, Miss. - The Indians finished fifth in the ICC Invitational held at River Birch on Friday and Saturday.
The Indians turned in a two-day total of 624 (+48) to earn the fifth place finish while Gulf Coast won the event with a 579 (+3) team total.
Connor McKelroy (Hernando) finished tied for fourth place with Meridian's Presely Wade after carding a 146 (+2). McKelroy bounced back from an opening round 76 (+4) to card a 70 (-2) on Saturday.
AJ Martin (Pontotoc) also had a nice bounced back on Saturday to finish 20th. Martin turned in an 80 (+8) on Friday and fired a 73 (+1) in the final round of play. Tres Gammill (Ackerman) finished tied for 27th with Parker Dickerson of Hinds with a 159 (+15) after carding a 79 (+7) and 80 (+8). Bubba Davis (Savannah, Tenn.) finished 32nd at 166 (+22) after turning in an 88 (+16) on Friday and a 78 (+6) on Saturday.
Parker Brown (Taylor) finished 35th with a two-day total of 174 (+30) with back-to-back rounds of 87 (+15). Cole Hubbell (Oxford) and Graham Tweedle of Hinds finished tied for 36th at 177 (+33) after carding a 96 (+24) and 81 (+9).
