FULTON, Miss. – The men's golf team will host the fifth stop on the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Spring Tour at the par-72, 7,246-yard Ackia Golf Club in Amory on Saturday and Sunday.

The two-day event boasts a strong field that will feature the Bushnell Golfweek NJCAA Division II Coaches Poll fifth-ranked Meridian Community College Eagles and Copiah-Lincoln Community College, who received votes in the latest ten-team poll.

Saturday's play is scheduled to start at 10:00 a.m. with golfers starting on holes 1 and 10 - teeing off every eight minutes. There will be a shotgun start on Sunday at 10:00 a.m. with the same format as Saturday's play.

Admission is free to the general public.

The Indians are led by sophomore Brandon Walker. The Vardaman native is averaging 76.63 through four events this season, 17th in the MACJC. Walker carded a season-best 73 (+1) in the opening round of the Co-Lin Invitational in October.

Hunter Lucas (Belmont) ranks 23rd with an average of 78.75; Cameron Foster (Southaven) is ranked 28th with an average of 79.38 and Garrett Moore (Southaven) is one spot behind Foster with a 79.88 average through four events.

Parker Humber (Caledonia) and Todd Harrell (Vardaman) have played in three events this season. Humber is ranked 36th with an average of 81.67 while Harrell comes in at 37th with an 81.83 scoring average.

The ICC Invitational will be the final regular season event before the Indians participate in the MACJC Championship at the Oaks Course of Dancing Rabbit Golf Club on March 12-13 in Philadelphia.
