FULTON, Miss. - Joshua Greer (Jackson, Tenn.) scored a team-high 17 points with Brian Halums (Simmons) adding 16 and Tre Jenkins (Tupelo) chipping in 14 in the Indians' 72-66 loss to Mississippi Delta on Thursday.
The Indians (7-10, 2-6 MACJC North) saw the Trojans (8-11, 2-5 MACJC North) connect on 14 of their final 16 free throws, including going 7 for 7 from the line in the final minutes of the game, to hang on for the victory.
The Indians finished the week in sixth place in the North, but are only a game out from earning the fourth and final spot in the MACJC tournament coming up in three weeks.
