FULTON, MS – In their final game for almost a month, the Itawamba Community College men's basketball team fell 80-56 to a very talented Motlow State Community College (TN) squad Saturday.
The Indians (4-5, 1-0 MACJC North) came out playing well, but couldn't get their shots to fall, while the Bucs seemed to not be able to miss, allowing them to hold a 40-29 lead at halftime.
It was more of the same in the second half, with the Indians struggling to get the shots to fall, and the Bucs were able to pull away and pick up the win.
Brian Halums (Hollandale) led the Indians with 17 points and Charles Brown (New Orleans, LA) and Eric Brown (Greenville) added 10 points each.
Rebounding
A big difference in the contest came after the shot as the Bucs were able to grab 47 rebounds while the Indians were only able to grab 19.
Christmas Break
The Indians will take an extended break for the Christmas Holiday, but will return to action January 10, 2017 when they travel to Lynchburg, TN to face the same Motlow State squad at 7:30 pm.
