Robert Hentz
Defensive Line Coach
Itawamba Community College
Robert Hentz serves as the Defensive Line Coach at Itawamba Community College, bringing with him a strong background as both a decorated player and an emerging coach. Known for his work ethic, attention to detail, and player development, Hentz is committed to building tough, disciplined defensive linemen.
Coaching Career
Before joining the ICC staff, Hentz coached the defensive line at North Panola High School, where he helped shape a physical, high-energy defensive front.
Playing Career
Hentz had a standout playing career at every level. At South Panola High School, he earned All-State and All-Region honors as a dominant force on the defensive line.
He went on to play at Northwest Mississippi Community College, where he was one of the nation’s top interior defenders. In 2019, Hentz earned All-MACCC, All-NJCAA Region 23, and NJCAA All-American honors.
He later transferred to Kansas State University, where he continued his success both on and off the field, earning Big 12 All-Academic honors in 2021 and 2022.
