Kareem Moore
Assistant Head Coach | Defensive Backs Coach | Special Teams Coordinator

Kareem Moore joined the ICC football staff as Assistant Head Coach, Defensive Backs Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator. A former NFL standout and decorated collegiate athlete, he brings elite playing experience, leadership, and a proven track record of developing top-tier talent to the Indians.

Before arriving at ICC, Moore established himself as one of the premier developers of defensive backs at Northeast Mississippi Community College. In 2015, his secondary ranked second in the MACJC and Top 25 nationally, with defensive backs accounting for 11 of the team’s 23 takeaways. Over his career, he has coached several All-State defensive backs, including Juwan Taylor (Alcorn State), Jordan Strong (Coastal Carolina), and Sam Williams (Ole Miss). In total, he has helped more than 60 players advance to NCAA Division I and I-AA programs.

As a player, Moore began his career at Ole Miss, where he was named a Freshman All-American in 2004, before transferring to ICC and earning NJCAA All-American honors in 2005. He went on to star at Nicholls State University, earning Southland Conference Newcomer of the Year in 2006 and Defensive Player of the Year in 2007. Moore was selected in the sixth round of the 2008 NFL Draft by the Washington Redskins and played five seasons in the NFL from 2008–2012.

Moore holds a bachelor’s degree in Family and Consumer Sciences from Nicholls State University. He is married to Amelia Ballmore, and they have five children: Kamren, Kayson, Kaitlyn, Kingston, and Addison.
