
FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore defensive back Dylan Rowsey (Rienzi) has been named the Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) North Division Defensive Player of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.
Rowsey finished his sophomore season leading the Indians with four interceptions while picking up 50 total tackles, two of them for a loss. His four interceptions tied for third-best in the MACCC and seventh-best in the NJCAA.
Against Mississippi Delta, he racked up eight solo tackles and returned an interception for a 43-yard touchdown, a performance that earned recognition as MACCC and NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week.
Throughout his ICC career, Rowsey recorded 107 total tackles, seven interceptions and two defensive touchdowns.
The Indians finished the 2024 season 6-3 overall with a 4-2 MACCC North Division record.
