
FULTON, Miss. – Sophomore linebacker Jaiyden Thompson (Okolona) has been named Mississippi Association of Community Colleges Conference (MACCC) Defensive Player of the Week following his performance in the Indians' 36-34 win at East Mississippi last Thursday, the conference announced Tuesday.
During ICC's win over the Lions, Thompson made a significant impact on the defensive side of the ball, recording a career-high 18 tackles with 11 solo and seven assisted. He also had a sack, two tackles for loss and a pass breakup to help the Indians secure the road win at East Mississippi.
Thompson and his teammates will be back in action Thursday, Sept. 26, when they host Mississippi Delta. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. and the pregame show will start at 6:30 p.m. on SuperTalk 101.9 FM and LetsGoICCTV.com/red.
