Former ICC football star inks deal with New York

FULTON, MS – Former ICC football standout defensive back Xavier Walker signed an undrafted free agent deal with the New York Giants.
In three seasons at Middle Tennessee, the Duluth, GA native recorded 152 tackles, one tackle for loss (-2 yards), 14 passes defended, three forced fumbles, two interceptions with one returned 35 yards and one fumble recovery.
Walker finished his senior season with 31 tackles and five pass breakups after missing four games with an injury. He started all 12 games as a junior and ranked third on the team with a career-high 67 total tackles. As a sophomore, he ranked sixth on the team with 54 tackles after playing in all 13 games and earning 10 starts.
In his lone season with the Indians, Walker ranked fifth on the team with 51 tackles, three interceptions returned for 48 yards and six pass breakups while returning three kickoffs for 44 yards to earn 2012 MACJC All-State and NJCAA All-Region 23 honors
