PERKINSTON, MS – ICC fell behind, 21-0, after three turnovers in the first half and never recovered as the No. 11 Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Bulldogs rolled to a 38-7 victory in the regular season finale on Saturday.

The Bulldogs (7-2, 5-1 MACJC South) took a 21-0 lead into the locker room after converting a fumble into a touchdown and returning an interception 69 yards for the final score of the half.

The Indians' (6-3, 4-2 MACJC North) only points came on the first drive of third quarter when Kwadra Griggs (Greenwood) found Grant Kimberlin (Southaven) for a 10-yard touchdown pass.

Kimberlin hauled in a career-high 11 catches for another career-best 106 yards and one touchdown in the loss. Griggs completed 29-of-45 passing for 233 yards with one touchdown and two interceptions while adding 25 yards on six careers.

Gulf Coast answered the Indian touchdown on the ensuing drive with a 39-yard scoring toss before adding a 37-yard field goal to close out the third quarter and a 23-yard run in the fourth to pull away for the 31-point victory.

The Indians totaled 397 yards of offense (233 passing; 164 rushing).

Devin Bush (Jackson, TN) led the ground attack with 56 yards on 13 carries. Kadarius Forside (West Point) had 14 carries for 46 yards and Octavious Matthews (Stevenson, AL) rushed for 24 yards on nine carries before going down with an injury late in the second quarter.

Bush added 32 yards on three catches.

Defensively, ICC gave up 415 yards of total offense (200 passing; 215 rushing). Kendarius Hibbler (Tunica), Daniel Johnson (Coldwater), and Levarious Varnado (Calhoun City) led the Indians with seven tackles each.

Artez Williams (Greenwood) added two tackles and a fumble recovery.

ICC will return to the coast on Saturday, Oct. 31 to square off against the same set of Bulldogs at 2:00 p.m. in the opening round of the MACJC Playoffs. [Click here to read more about how the Indians made the playoffs]
