McQuarley, Gilleylen earn MACJC Player of the Week honors

FULTON, MS – ICC took two of the three Mississippi Association of Community College (MACJC) Player of the week honors for their performance in the Indians' 38-19 win over Northeast Mississippi Community College.
Richard McQuarley (Meridian) was named Offensive Player of the Week and Devan Gilleylen (Shannon) earned his second Defensive Players of the Week honor of the season.
McQuarley complied 300 yards of total offense and 4 touchdowns in the Indians' 38-19 win over rival Northeast on Thursday. The freshman rushed for a career-high 258 yards with 3 touchdowns on 22 carries (11.7 ypc) and caught 3 passes for another career-high of 42 yards and a touchdown.
Gilleylen (Shannon) earned his second defensive player of the week honors after totaling a career-high 12 tackles (8 solo; 4 assists) along with 3.5 tackles for a loss of 24 yards and 2.5 sacks to help keep the Indians playoff hopes alive and lead ICC to its fifth-straight win over the rivals.
Both McQuarley and Gilleylen are eligible for NJCAA player of the week honors when the league announces its selection later in the week.
The Indians (3-4, 3-2 MACJC North) travel to Mississippi Delta Community College on Saturday with the First American National Bank opening kickoff slated for 2:00 p.m.
