Indians shine in MACJC All-Star Football Classic

BOONEVILLE, MS – A pair of Austin Franklin (East Central CC) field goals led the South to a 6-3 victory over the North in the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star Football Classic on Thursday.
Griff Loftis (Mooreville) complete 4-of-13 passing for 59 yards and an interception. D'Andre Greer (Oxford) and Quadzing Rogers (Mooreville) anchored the North's offensive line that totaled 113 yards (49 rushing; 64 passing).
Caderious Dean (Byhalia) finished the game with 4 tackles (2 solo; 2 assists) with .5 sack for a loss of 2.5 yards and a tackle for a loss of 4 yards. CJ Jackson (Water Valley) had 2 tackles (1 solo; 1 assist) with a pass break-up.
The North's lone score came on a 19-yard field goal by Matt Spencer (Holmes CC).
The opening half of the game was played in two regulation 15-minute quarters before inclement weather forced the second half to be played in one 25-minute period with a running clock.
