FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College and Jones County Junior College are separated by 233 miles, but the two programs are no stranger when it comes to the gridiron.

The Indians (6-3, 4-2 MACJC North) will travel to Ellisville to take on the No. 4 Bobcats (8-1, 5-1 MACJC South) on Saturday, November 2 in the semi-finals of the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) playoffs.

ICC and Jones have squared off 34 times with of four games coming in the playoffs, including the 1977 MACJC championship game that saw Indians shock then No. 2 ranked Jones County, 13-12, when freshman defensive back Bobby Clay (Aberdeen) deflected a pass on a two-point conversion attempt midway through the fourth quarter and later intercepted a pass with less than a minute left in the game to seal the victory.

ICC won the last meeting between the two teams, 21-7, in Week 1 of the 2009 season. The victory snapped a six-game win streak by the Bobcats.

Jones leads the all-time series 20-13-1 and defeated ICC, 58-31, in the Indians' last playoff appearance in 2007.

Kickoff is scheduled for 3:00 p.m. and can be heard on WAFM 95.7 FM (Amory) and watched live on LetsGoICC.com.
