Former ICC football star and Super Bowl champion Duce Staley has been named the new running backs coach for the Philadelphia Eagles after serving as the special teams quality control coach since 2011.

The former National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-American played at ICC in 1993 and 1994 before transferring to the University of South Carolina. He was drafted in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft by the Eagles and was the 2001 Ed Block Courage award recipient, an award selected by the players and given to their teammate that is seen as a role model of inspiration, sportsmanship, and courage.

Staley finished his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2006, where he and the Steelers defeated the Seattle Seahawks 21-10 in Super Bowl XL at Ford Field in Detroit, Michigan.

He ranks fourth on the Eagles all-time rushing list with 4,807 yards and finished his career with 5,785 yards rushing and 24 touchdowns. Staley officially retired as an Eagle in a special halftime ceremony during the Eagles-Giants game on December 9, 2007.
