
Trio of ICC baseball standouts head to the next level

JT Salter (Bay Minette, AL) will compete in the Southeastern Conference at the University of Alabama, Steffon Moore (West Point) join the University of West Alabama squad and Keith Stepter (Hernando) continues his career at the University of Memphis.
Salter finished his sophomore season with a 3.31 ERA with 84 strikeouts and 32 walks while giving up 45 hits resulting in 30, 24 earned, to end with a 7-2 record.
The 6'7 a right-handed pitcher earned back-to-back Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) Pitcher of the Week honor and National Junior College Athletic Association Pitcher (NJCAA) of the Week honor during his sophomore campaign while and was named MACJC All-State First Team and NJCAA Region 23 Second Team.
After two years in Fulton, Salter finished his career with a 3.89 ERA with 126 strikeouts to 59 walks in 104 innings pitched. He surrendered 54 runs, 45 earned, on 78 hits to finish with a 12-3 career record. Salter committed to the Crimson Tide in May.
Moore finished his sophomore season with a 7-4 record while striking out 53 for a strikeout per game average of 9.73. He gave up 52 runs, 39 earned, on 51 hits and ended with a 7.16 ERA in 12 appearances.
The 6'1 left handed pitcher was named MACJC All-State Second Team and during his freshman season he earned MACJC Pitcher of the Week twice and was MACJC All-State Second Team.
Moore finished his career at ICC with a 4.77 ERA, 96 strikeouts and a 9-5 record and will join the Tigers who finished one game shy of the NCAA Division II World Series.
Stepter wrapped up his sophomore season hitting .316 with 37 hits, 27 runs, 23 RBI, 12 walks, six homeruns and three doubles.
The 6'0 outfielder earned MACJC Player of the Week in week 13 where hit .667 over four games.
During his two year in red and blue, Stepter hit .291 with 52 hits, 33 RBI, eight doubles, six home runs and finished with a .389 on base percentage and a .436 slugging percentage over 71 games. He will join the Tigers who finished 30-29 in 2017 which is their sixth 30 plus win season in seven years.
