Bio
Dr. Chad Case
Dean of Students & Athletic Director
Dr. Chad Case, a proud alumnus of Itawamba Community College, serves as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director, bringing more than two decades of experience in collegiate athletics and student services. He is deeply committed to student success both on and off the field.
Dr. Case began his coaching career as an assistant baseball coach at ICC from 2002 to 2007 before taking over as head coach of the ICC softball program from 2008 to 2011. During his tenure, he led the Indians to the program’s first-ever NJCAA Region 23 Tournament appearance in 2010, earned MACJC North Division Coach of the Year honors that same year, and guided teams to North Division championships in 2008 and 2010. He finished his softball coaching career with a 103-47 overall record.
As a player, Dr. Case was a standout for the ICC baseball team from 1999 to 2000 after redshirting at Mississippi State University (1997–98). He continued his playing career at the University of West Alabama from 2000 to 2002.
Following his coaching career, Dr. Case served as ICC’s Director of Housing from 2012 to 2022, enhancing student residential life. In 2022, he was named Dean of Students and Athletic Director, where he continues to support student-athletes through leadership, mentorship, and a commitment to academic and athletic excellence.
Dr. Case earned his A.A. from Itawamba Community College, a B.S. from the University of West Alabama, an M.S. in Sports Administration from Mississippi State University, and a Ph.D. in Community College Leadership from Mississippi State University.
Dr. Case and his wife, Lacey, reside locally with their three children: Emma Jaymes, Cameron, and Sadie.
