Jimmy Taylor played football for IJC in 1978 and 1979 where
he was an MACJC All-Division and All-State performer and was
named to the NJCAA All-Region team.
Taylor had decided to play for Jackie Sherrill’s Pittsburgh
Panthers after his sophomore season at IJC before changing his mind
and signing with Memphis State. While he was at Itawamba Junior
College, he was named class favorite and was a member of the
track team.
