Over the years of 1961 and 1962 they went 52-10 going 34-0 in
junior college play. They won the State Championship and
Holiday Classic both years.
Team of the Century players: include Billy Coleman, Mike Dungan,
Howard Easley, Luther Epting, Gerald Godfrey, Bob Hines, Richard
James, Ira Lewis, Jim Spencer, Hugh Tigrett, Derwood Tutor,
Bobby White, Larry Stewart and Lloyd Wilford.
Kindle (Bud) Davis of Memphis, Tenn. was the coach and Joe
Pennington was the manager.
