Elaine Fagan Battigan, who graduated from ICC in 2001, played tennis for the Lady Indians.

Among her honors include first women's tennis player to reach the semifinals of the NJCAA national championship, NJCAA All-American, 2000 state and region singles championship, ranked fifth in the NJCAA in 2000, selected Rookie of the Year by the International Tennis Association, placed twelfth in the 2000 NJCAA Tournament and reached No. 1 doubles semifinals in the NJCAA National Tournament with Kristi Andrews.

She also served as manager for the women's basketball team. Battigan played at Mississippi State University where she was named to the SEC Academic Honor Roll in 2003.
