FULTON, Miss. - ICC running back Charleston French and kicker Luke Jackson earned Mississippi Association of Community College Conference (MACCC) Player of the Week honors for their performances in the Indians' 30-25 win at Coahoma Thursday.
French (Amory) rushed for 248 yards and three touchdowns on 36 carries and had one catch for 11 yards for 259 yards of total offense to earn Offensive Player of the Week honors. The freshman's performance was the most rushing yards in a game since 2014. French is currently second in the country with 924 total yards rushing, 102.7 rushing yards per game and fifth in the nation with 8 rushing touchdowns.
Jackson (Bensalem, PA) connected on all three field goal and extra point attempts for 12 points to be named Special Teams Player of the Week. The sophomore connected on field goals of 29, 43, and 33 yards. He is tied for seventh in the country with nine made field goals and 11th nationally with 11 field goals attempted. His 82% completion rate on field goal attempts is tied for seventh among all NJCAA kickers.
