Louisiana-Lafayette picks up a pair of Indians

FULTON, MS – Coach Sean Cannon announced sophomores Trev Miller (Noxapater) and Artez Williams (Greenwood) have signed National Letters of Intent to continue their careers as student-athletes with the Ragin' Cajuns of Louisiana-Lafayette.
Miller, a 6-foot-2, 225 pound defensive end, totaled 31 tackles (24 solo; 7 assists) with four sacks, nine tackles for loss and one forced fumble to earn MACJC All-State Second Team in his final season with the Indians.
Williams, a 6-foot, 185 pound defensive back, had 30 tackles (29 solo; 1 assist) with one tackle for loss and four pass break-ups. He returned three fumbles, including one returned 82 yards for a touchdown against Northwest Mississippi Community College and another recovered in the end zone for a touchdown against Coahoma Community College. He was selected to the MACJC All-Star game.

Louisiana-Lafayette finished 4-8 and 3-5 in the Sun Belt Conference last season under the direction of Coach Mark Hudspeth. Miller and Williams are the first Indians on record to sign with the Ragin' Cajuns in football.
