FULTON, MS – The Itawamba Community College football team had 11 members selected to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State Team, which was released Sunday after the MACJC State Championship game.

"These awards are a tribute to these young men and their effort towards everything they were able to accomplish this season," said ICC head football coach Jon Williams. "Any time you basically have half your starters garner awards like this it says a lot about the direction the program is headed."

Sophomore offensive lineman Connor Popeck (Olive Branch), freshman defensive back Xavier Walker (Duluth, GA) and freshman linebacker CJ Jackson (Water Valley) each earned first team honors.

Sophomore defensive back Terrell Pinson (Tupelo), sophomore linebacker Quad Freeman (Guntown), freshman offensive lineman Brandon Jones (Hernando), sophomore offensive lineman Brennan Tutor (Pontotoc), freshman wide receiver Sanford Seay (Albany, GA), sophomore wide receiver Rashad Pargo (Aberdeen), sophomore punter Asian Ruff (Dorsey) and freshman place kicker Tyler Jackson (Oxford) all earned second team honors.

Popeck and Walker were also selected to the National Junior College Athletic Association All-Region 23 Team.

"I'm certainly proud of these guys along with the rest of the team and how they represented the program this season," said Williams.
