FULTON, MS – The honors keep rolling in for Itawamba Community College freshman place kicker Tyler Jackson.
After being voted Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Special Teams Player of the week, the Oxford native was named National Special Teams Player of the Week by the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) on Wednesday after drilling the game-winning field goal for 43 yards out with 16 seconds left in the Indians' 24-23 Homecoming victory over then No. 3 East Mississippi Community College.

The Lafayette County High School graduate is the second Indian to earn National Player of the Week honors after sophomore linebacker Deryck Gildon (Arlington, TX) was named NJCAA Defensive Player of the Week for his performance against Southwest Mississippi Community the second week of the season.
