Itawamba Community College head football coach Jon Williams announced the addition of former Mississippi State safety and Fulton native Asian Ruff to the Indians' 2012 football roster.
"We're excited to have a player like Asian as a part of our program here at ICC," said Williams. "He is a local guy that is coming to us extremely motivated and hopefully that along with his work ethic that he picked up at Mississippi State will rub off on the rest of guys on the team."
Ruff helped lead Itawamba AHS to a 13-1 record and the 2009 MHSAA Class 4A North State title game as a senior starring on both sides of the ball and was ranked as the No. 25 prospect in Mississippi.
"He brings a lot to the table being a highly athletic player with big time play making ability on both sides of the ball," said Williams.
He was selected to play in the Alabama-Mississippi All-Star Classic where he had one interception and returned it for 17 yards.
The 6'2, 185 lb redshirt freshman has one year of eligibility left with the Indians.
