Three Lady Indians selected to MACJC All-Star game

FULTON, MS - East Central Community College will be the site for the 2017 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-Star Basketball games on Friday, April 14 with three student-athletes representing Itawamba Community College in this year's event.
Marlee Hatcher (Pontotoc) and Jabria Pounds (Nettleton) were selected to the North Division women's team. Asia Partlow (Tupelo) was selected as an alternate for the women's North All-Star squad.
Other members of the North All-Star team includes: Melvinisha Jenkins, Coahoma; Averyale Joy and Janesha Johnson, Northwest; Shelby Wilbanks, Lakeiya Lane, and Timaya Stewart, all of Northeast; Lauren Brooks, Holmes; Quantesha Patterson and Anissa May, both of East Mississippi; and Ariana Sims, Mississippi Delta.
Coaches from Holmes Community College will serve as head coaches for the North Division all-stars.
The South All-Star team members includes: Tenazhia Hinkson, Copiah-Lincoln; Shantavis Hughes and Laneisha Jeans, both of East Central; Areleatha Gipson and Octavia Barnes, both of Hinds; Zan Ratchliffe, Myyah West, and Kyle Felton, all of Jones; Rashanae Rice, Meridian; Shaniqua Tobias, Mississippi Gulf Coast; Deja Starks, Pearl River; and Shalisa Hawthrone, Southwest.
Coaches of Jones County Junior College will be the head coaches for the South Division all-stars.
The women's game will start at 5:00 p.m. and the men's game will follow at Brackeen-Wood Gym in Decatur. The games will be streamed online at holmesccmedia.com.
