Tucker named to All-Region 23 Team

FULTON, MS – Sophomore Alontra Tucker has been named to the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) All-Region 23 Team when the region announced the team on Sunday.
Tucker led the Lady Indians (23-7) in scoring with 10.2 points-per-game average while collecting 5.2 rebounds, dishing out 4.1 assists, and grabbing 1.7 steals per game. The sophomore scored a game-high 19 points against Lawson State, East Mississippi, and Northeast Mississippi.
The Lamar, MS native was also named to the Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) All-State North Division Second Team and North All-Star team after leading the Lady Indians to the North Division championship, the program's first-ever back-to-back NJCAA Region 23 championship, and first-ever back-to-back appearances in the NJCAA Women's Division I National Tournament.
