South sweeps North in MACJC Women's Quarterfinals

FULTON, MS – The South Division dodged an upset and pulled off another to sweep the North women in the quarterfinals of the MACJC Tournament at Itawamba Community College on Tuesday.
Lady Indians falls to Pearl River, 63-52
ICC (14-10) dropped a 63-52 decision to Pearl River (16-5) in the nightcap. Prairie View transfer Deandra Dariean's 21 led the Lady Bobcats. Jayla Chills (Ripley) led the Lady Indians with 13, Latoya Collins (Jackson) 12 and Lytia Coleman (Memphis) added 11 in the loss.
Meridian 85 Mississippi Delta 77 OT
Meridian (19-5) held off Mississippi Delta (13-10) in overtime to win 85-77 and avoid an upset in the first game of the day. Miaya Crowder lead Meridian with 27 and Kystal Nailer paced Delta with 20.
Southwest 66 East Mississippi 61
Katrina Littlepage scored 40 points to lead No. 4 seed Southwest (18-6) past No. 1 seed East Mississippi (16-8) 66-61. Krya Gulledge led the Lady Lions with 19 points.
Jones County 91 Northwest 62
Jones County (17-7) rolled to a 91-62 win over Northwest (12-9). Caitlyn Spane led the Lady Bobcats with Halle Knowles scoring a career-high 25 points for the Lady Rangers.
