No. 14 Indians pick up historic win in sweep of Southwest

FULTON, MS – The No. 14 Indians completed the sweep of Southwest Mississippi Community College (16-19, 12-8 MACJC) and Coach Andy Kirk picked up his 200th win at ICC with a 3-0 win in Saturday's final game.  

The Indians scored the game first run when Mamie Hollenhead (Mathiston) singled to left to score Cori Childs (New Site) in the bottom of the third.

ICC added another run in the fifth on a single by Meg Sullivan (Springville) to score Kelcie Yates (Yazoo City) and in the sixth when McKenzie Piper (Pell City, AL) scored on an error by Southwest.

Sullivan finished the game going two for two with a RBI. Hollenhead and Mary Kansas Sullivan (Houston) each added a single to the Indians four hit total in the game.

Carleigh Mills (Corinth) scattered three hits, struck out four, and walked one in the complete game shutout to move to 14-5 on the season.
