Meridian, Miss. – Itawamba Community College golf wrapped up the regular season Tuesday with an eighth-place finish in MACCC Event 6 at Northwood Country Club in Meridian.
The Indians improved by two strokes in the final round shooting 25 over (309) to finish with the two-day event 52 over (620). Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College won the event shooting 15 under (553).
Corbin Andrada (Olive Branch) shot at six over (77) in the final round but finished eight over (150) in the event to finish tied for 17th.
Jake Ware (Oxford) moved up one spot to finish tied for 26th after improving by two strokes to shoot five over (76) in the final round and 12 over (154) overall.
Rhett Gullett (Olive Branch) shot nine over (82) Tuesday and finished 17 over (159) to finished tied for 40th.
Hogan Payne (Olive Branch) finished one shot behind each other as Gullett overall and tied for 43rd shotting 18 over (160). In the final round, Payne shot eight over (79).
Trace Sonnier (Vancleave) was six over (77) in the final round and moved up seven spots to finish tied for 48th after shooting 20 over (162) for the event.
The Indians will open postseason play as they compete in the MACCC Tournament at The Oaks Golf Club in Pass Christian on April 4-5.
