FULTON, MS – Coach David Rather released the schedule for the 2015 season on Friday.
"I think we've got a nice group of guys," said Rather. "We've got some returning veterans and some pretty good freshmen coming in that are going to hopefully give us a shot to make some noise this season."
The Indians will open the season on the road at Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College Invitational (Feb 8-9) at Grand Bear Golf Course in Saucier and Pine Burr Country Club in Wiggins and will conclude the season in the MACJC Championship Tournament (Apr 18-19) at Lion Hills in Columbus.
"I expect some immediate help out of some of the freshmen and the seasoned boys should be able to have a little more experience to make us a little bit better on the tail end of the line-up," said Rather.
Hinds and Copiah-Lincoln will team up to host the second event of the season at Eagle Ridge County Club (Feb 28) in Raymond and Wolf Hollow Golf Course (Mar 1) in Wesson.
"There is going to be a lot of really good competition this year," Rather commented. "Hopefully these younger guys will figure things out early on and help us finish strong to make a push towards championship play at the end of the year."
ICC will travel to Philadelphia for the East Central Invitational (Mar 23-24) at Dancing Rabbits Azalea and will close out the season in the Co-Lin Invitational (Mar 29-30), Northwest Invitational (Apr 6-Apr 7), and Meridian Invitational (Apr 13-14) before participating in the MACJC Championship.
