FULTON, Miss. - Sophomore Tre Jenkins (Tupelo) will be taking his talents to Mississippi College next season.
Jenkins (Tupelo) averaged 12.4 points and 3.0 rebounds per game during his sophomore season. The 6-foot-2 guard scored a career-high 23 points in the Indians' 73-61 win over Wallace-Selma (Ala.) Community College last season and grabbed a career-best seven rebounds against Shelton State (Ala.) Community College as a freshman.
The men's basketball team at Mississippi College is a Division II program and is a member of the Gulf South Conference.
Jenkins is the fourth member from last year's squad to sign to continue his education and basketball career on the next level. Brian Halums (Simmons) signed with Ole Miss in November and Joseph Jones (Tupelo) signed with Belhaven University and Eric Brown (Greenville) signed with Ouachita Baptist University this month.
