Halums earns second MACJC Player of the Week honor

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College freshman guard Brian Halums has been named Mississippi Association of Community and Junior Colleges (MACJC) Player of the Week for men's basketball for the second time in three weeks, after a standout performance against two North Division foes last week.
Halums shot 60 percent from the floor and 50 percent from three point range while grabbing 24 rebounds as the Indians (8-8, 4-2 MACJC North) swept the week.
The Hollendale native started the week with a 20 point, 9 rebound performance in the Indians come from behind 88-85 win over Northeast on Monday.
Halums then closed out the week by picking up his fifth double-double of the season with 24 points and 15 rebounds that led the Indians to an 83-69 road win over East Mississippi Thursday night.
ICC will host Holmes Community College for another MACJC North Division play Tuesday against Mississippi Delta Community College at 8 p.m.
