Indians defeat No. 19 Jones County, 90-89

FULTON, MS – Johnthan McGee (Raymond) drove baseline and hit a lay-up with less than two-seconds left in the game to give the Indians a 90-89 victory over No. 19 Jones County Junior College on Monday.
The Bobcats (9-1, 2-0 MACJC South) took an 89-88 lead after making the second of two free throws and stealing the ensuing inbounds pass. The Indians (7-4, 2-0 MACJC North) took a timeout with 14.3 seconds remaining and missed the first shot before McGee got an assist from Alex Anderson (Memphis, TN) to set up his last-second heroics.
McGee finished the night with 15 points while Tory Rice (Starkville) scored a game-high 17, Tyrone Wooten (Memphis, TN) 15, and Dee Gates (Baldwyn) added 11 for the Indians.
Thaddeus Hall paced previously unbeaten Jones County with 25 points.
