Indians beat Coahoma in overtime, 92-87

FULTON, MS – Johnthan McGee only score five points in ICC's 92-87 overtime win over Coahoma Community College, but three of those points were the biggest points of the night.
Trailing 79-76, McGee was fouled on a game-tying three-point attempt with .03 left in the game. He knocked down the first attempt with ease before the Tigers (1-7, 0-2 MACJC North) called a timeout, but the sophomore from Raymond was unfazed as he knocked down the final two attempts to send the game into overtime.
The Indians (4-4, 2-0 MACJC North) rallied from a 10-point deficit inside two minutes left to play before forcing the game into overtime.
Freshman Tay Crawford (Aberdeen) came off the bench to score a career-high 25 points and 11 rebounds to record his first-ever collegiate double-double.
Tyrone Wooten (Memphis, TN) had 17 points off the bench while Alex Anderson (Memphis, TN) added 15 in the win.
Tory Rice (Starkville) had his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Both teams combined for 99 free throws as the Indians hit 45-of-60 attempts and the Tigers connected on 15-of-39 trips to the charity stripe.
Markevius Brown scored a game-high 26 with four other Tigers scoring in double figures in the loss.
ICC will close out the 2013 half of the season when they take on Meridian Community College on Thursday, December 12 at 7:30 p.m. and Snead State Community College on Saturday, December 14 at 4:30 p.m. for Fan Appreciation Day.
