BOAZ, AL -- For the second-straight week the Indians (2-0, 0-0 MACJC North) won on the final shot of the game.
"I thought all the guys really stepped up with this being our first road game of the year," said Coach Grant Pate. "These guys are working hard and coming together as a team to be able to put together a complete 40 minutes and doing a great job of finding ways to win."
Alex Anderson (Memphis, TN) hit a jumper with less than a second left to play to give the Indians a 69-67 victory over the Parsons.
"I got a good screen at the top of the key to create the space I needed to be able to get a good shot," said Anderson. "We work hard on those type situations in practice and we came together as a team to be able to get this win."
Anderson finished with a team-high 18 points while Lakee Westbrook (Shannon) came off the bench to score 14 with Johnthan McGee (Raymond) adding 10 for the Indians.
"I thought we had a lot great play off our bench tonight," Pate commented. "A lot of the other guys came off the bench and contributed extremely well throughout the game... hopefully this win will keep fueling the fire for the guys to continue to work hard and keep getting better."
Demarcus Threatt had 21 for Snead State (0-3).
The Indians will travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Shelton State Community College on Tuesday.
