McCalmon named new men's basketball coach at Tish County

FULTON, MS -- Former Indian Josh McCalmon has been named the new men's basketball coach at Tishomingo County High School according to former ICC men's coach Marty Cooper.
McCalmon, a 2007 graduate of Tishomingo County, was a freshman reserve guard playing behind All-American Anthony Brock on the Indians' 30-4 Mississippi Association of Community and Junior College (MACJC) 2007-08 state championship team that finished the season ranked No. 5 in the nation.
As a sophomore, he was a part-time starter and helped lead the Indians to the 2008-09 MACJC North Division Championship.
After ICC, McCalmon was a two-year starter and leading scorer at Blue Mountain College.
The former standout and four-year starter at Tishomingo County led the Braves to the 2007 District Championship as the team finished 20-5 in his final season.
