WESSON, MS – The Indians saw their three-game winning streak come to an end in the form of a 72-60 non-division road loss to Copiah-Lincoln Community College on Thursday.
"Coach (Nanci) Gray and Coach (Marty) Cooper told me that Co-Lin was a tough place to play and they weren't kidding," said ICC head coach Grant Pate. "You have to be on top of your game in all aspects and I don't think we were there mentally tonight and really let some of the things we couldn't control dictate how we played."
Sophomore point guard Quintin Lee (Ripley, TN) scored a game-high 15 points for the Indians.
"I thought Quintin really stepped up as a leader tonight," said Pate. "With Deontaye (Ewing) somehow picking up three fouls in the first 90 seconds of the game we really needed someone to step up and like a true sophomore Q did that for us."
Freshman Tory Rice (Starkville) scored 10 points and grabbed nine rebounds in the loss.
"I thought Tory played a great game and was able to give us some physicality when we needed it," said Pate. "He is starting to play on a lot more consistent level and hopefully the first of many good things we see out of him the rest of the season."
Jay Case led four Wolves scoring in double figures with 13 points on the night.
