Cold-shooting Indians fall to Holmes 71-41 on the road

GOODMAN, MS –Sophomore Deontaye Ewing (Tupelo) scored a team-high 14 as the Itawamba Community College Indians struggled from the floor in a 71-41 road loss to the Holmes Community College Bulldogs on Thursday.
The Indians (8-6, 1-2 MACJC North) shot a season-low 35-percent from floor in the first half, but only trailed 20-18 at the break. The Bulldogs (8-6, 2-1 MACJC North) got hot halfway through the second half sparked by four-straight three pointers to pull away for the lopsided X30-point victory.
ICC finished the night shooting 33-percent from the floor while the Bulldogs connected on 45-percent of their shots on the night.
Ewing finished the night with a double-double adding 10 rebounds to his 14-point performance while Tory Rice (Starkville) finished with 4 points and a game-high 11 rebounds.
DeAndre Scott scored a game-high 28 points in the win.
