FULTON, MS -- Itawamba Community College men's basketball coach Grant Pate announced the signing of West Point standout Daryl Thomas on Monday.
Thomas averaged 12.5 points, 2.1 rebounds and 2.5 steals per game for Coach Brad Cox and the West Point Green Wave during his senior campaign.
"I'm excited to have the opportunity to play college ball at a place like ICC," said Thomas. "I'm going to work on improving my shot and ball handling ability over the summer and hopefully help make an impact on the team this season."
"Darly is a good shooter and even better defender," said Pate. "He is a well-coached player and has had some outstanding games against some of the state's toughest competition last season. We are excited to have a player like Darly joining our program."
The 6'2 shooting guard scored 20 points in a November loss to Pate's Tupelo High School basketball program and later scored a season-high 21 points in a December loss against Tupelo. He scored in double figures in 12 games last season.
