“I’m excited to have the opportunity to play college ball at a place like ICC,” said Thomas. “I’m going to work on improving my shot and ball handling ability over the summer and hopefully help make an impact on the team this season.”
“We are always excited about signing local guys that are familiar with ICC and our program,” said Pate, who is in his first season as the Indians’ head coach. “I feel like Lazerick and Devonta both have the potential to bring a lot to our program next season.”
14 schools are schedule to participate in Thursday, June 21 Summer Basketball League with games being played at the Davis Event Center and Fitness Center gyms.
“Jerry Mullen is highly respected on the junior college level and for these guys to be invited speaks volumes for their talent and desire to play at the next level. We are excited for both these guys and the things they’ll be able to bring back from this event to help the team next season,” said first-year Indian head coach Grant Pate.
The Davis Event Center and Fitness Center will be the site for the ICC's Thursday High School basketball league with 13 different programs from Mississippi and Alabama scheduled take the hardwood on Thursday.
