The Itawamba Community College football team participated in a NFL Leadership Program on Saturday, April 18.

"We are excited about hosting this prestigious event," said ICC head football coach Sean Cannon. "Anytime the NFL chooses to come to your campus to host an event, it's a big deal not only for our football program, but also for the entire college."

According to NFL Insider Ian Rapoprt, the Bears and McPhee agreed to terms on a five-year contract reportedly worth nearly $40 million with $16 million in guaranteed money on Tuesday.

Path to the Draft: Former Indians begin journey to the 2015 NFL Draft.

Former ICC tight end Wes Saxton turned a lot of heads with his performance in the 40-yard dash during the 2015 NFL Scouting Combine on Friday.
“It’s always an exciting day when you bring new guys into your program,” said Coach Sean Cannon. “We felt like we were able to get some guys that wanted to be Indians.”

Scouts note Saxton’s large catching radius along with subtle quickness complimented by his ability to change speeds and get in-and-out of breaks as some of his strong points entering the combine, but also recognizes he has room for improvement as a line-of-scrimmage blocker.

"We measure success in more than just wins and loses," said Coach Sean Cannon. "We strive to help our players not only be successful on the field, but we want to help them to continue being successful long after their football careers are over and that starts in the classroom."

“This is a great honor for Jeb,” said Coach Sean Cannon. “This is something he worked extremely hard to earn after having a great freshman season and it’s great seeing all his hard work and dedication pay off for him in a big way.”
“Give God all the glory,” said Williams after the competition. “I would be nothing without Him providing me with the strength and ability to achieve this success in His name.”
“This is a great honor for Jacquez,” said Coach Sean Cannon. “A guy with speed and size has a lot of potential to go on and do big things as a wide receiver position on the next level.”
