Baseball drops game two 11-1 to East Central

FULTON, MS – Itawamba Community College had a tough day at the plate in game two of their non conference doubleheader with East Central Community College Saturday as they scattered five hits and one run in the 11-1 run-rule loss.
The Indians (10-4) fell behind early as the Warriors drove in four runs on five hits in the first inning. Drake Rowton (Marion, AR), who went 2-3 at the plate, scored in the third on a Bryan Malone (Belmont) sacrifice fly to cut the lead down to 4-1.
In the bottom of the third, the Warriors (12-4) extended their lead in a big way, driving in six runs to go up by nine, 10-1.
The Warriors would add a run in the bottom of the fifth to end the contest and pick up the 11-1 win.
On Tuesday, the Indians will return to Roy Cresap Field for a nonconference doubleheader with Southwest Tennessee Community College. First pitch is scheduled for 2:00 pm in Fulton.
