
Covington, Tenn. – In their first road test of the season, the Itawamba Community College women's soccer picked up a big 4-0 win over Dyersburg State Community College.
The First half was a tight battle, but a Macey Riggs (Hernando) off an assist from Beth Lloyd (Failsworth, England) at the 41st minute put the Lady Indians (2-1) on top before the break.
Lloyd scored her fourth goal of the season at the 65 th minute to extend the lead to 2-0 and five minutes later, Julia Benneckenstein (Furstentum, Liechtenstein) netted her first of the season to give the Lady Indians a 3-0 lead.
At the 74th minute, Esme Kilburn-Thompson (East Budleigh, England) scored her first goal of the season and the last of the contest as the Lady Indians cruised to the 4-0 victory.
The Lady Indians will get their first taste of a conference opponent Friday when they host Hinds Community College, but the game will not count toward conference standings. Opening kick is scheduled for 2 p.m. in Fulton.
