WESSON, Miss. – The Indians finished Day 1 of the Co-Lin Invitational in fourth place and five strokes outside of second place at Wolf Hollow.
Brandon Barrett (Tupelo) carded an opening round 75 (+3) to pace the Indians. Garrett Moore (Southaven) and Tyler Cheslak (Southaven) turned in a 77 (+5) while Dean Garrett (New Albany) went into the clubhouse with an 80 (+8). Hunter Lucas (Belmont) shot an 86 (+14)
Seven players fired a 72 (-1) to sit atop the leaderboard after the opening round. Gulf Coast took a commanding lead after combining for a 288 team score.
