BOONEVILLE, Miss. – Rance Champ (Shannon) scored 13 of his career-high 16 points in the second half to help the Indians pick up a 73-61 win at Northeast on Monday.
Leading 50-48 with 9:03 left to play in the second half, the Indians matched the Tigers shot-for-shot before Champ drilled a three-pointer near the ear of the Tiger at halfcourt and followed up with an uncontested lay-up to give the Indians' their largest lead of the night, 71-59, and send fans to the doors with 1:32 left to play.
Ma'Darius Hobson (Houlka) scored a game-high 19 points while Anfernee Diggins (Greenville) came off the bench to score 14 points and grab 12 rebounds for his third double-double of the season. Denzel McDuffey scored 13 to pace the Tigers in the loss.

The Indians improved to 9-10 overall and climbed back into the chase for the playoffs with a 3-5 record in the North.
