Gadsden, Ala. – The Indians shot a dismal 33.8 percent from the floor, including 18.2 percent from three, in their 77-69 loss at Gadsden State (Ala.) on Tuesday.
ICC built a 10-point lead in the first half before going cold from the floor to allow the Cardinals to rally to take an 11-point lead of their own in the final moments of the game. Gadsden State shot an impressive 52.1 percent from the floor and 30.8 percent from behind the arch. The Indians made 17 of 28 trips to the free throw line while the Cardinals visited the line 32 times and converted 23 of those attempts.
Ma'Darius Hobson (Houlka) led the Indians with 17 while grabbing 10 rebounds for his third double-double in four games. Akeem Kirkwood (Weir) added 12 points and a game-high 14 rebounds while Travarus Carroll (Birmingham, Ala.) came off the bench to score 11 points.
Shondarius McKinney paced four Cardinals scoring in double digits with a game-high 18.
The Indians will be back in action on Tuesday, November 27 when they host Snead State (Ala.) at 7:30.
